Old Age Security
The Old Age Security program, the cornerstone of Canada's retirement income system, provides you with a modest pension at age 65 if you have lived in Canada for at least 10 years. Birthday and Anniversary Congratulatory Messages
Are your parents celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this year? Are you planning a party for your grandmother on her 90th birthday? If so, you might want to request a congratulatory message from the Governor General. These messages are sent to Canadians celebrating 90th birthdays and up, and to Canadian couples celebrating 50th wedding anniversaries and up.
